Who We Are
We met while serving at church in a young adults ministry at Cathedral of Praise during the late winter of 2004. We started dating on March 15th, 2004. Our first date consisted of dinner at a local Italian restaurant (Bocci’s) and a performance of The Importance of Being Earnest at The Dock Street Theatre in Charleston, SC. Brian popped the big question while out to dinner at the previously mentioned “Italian Restaurant.” He managed to sneak in a video camera and paid a bus boy $5.00 to get the whole thing on video. We were married on March 19th, 2006. The ceremony was held at St. Lukes Chapel in Charleston, SC, and the reception was located at the South Carolina Aquarium.
What We Are Doing
In July of 2008, we left the country as participants on The World Race, a program through Adventures In Missions (AIM). For 11 months we traveled around the world as members of a 32 person squad, serving alongside local churches and other non-profit organizations. Upon return, we have decided to continue to serve with The World Race and will leave the States again in August, this time as squad leaders for a new group of 42 people.
