What is The World Race?

The World Race, a ministry of Adventures In Missions (AIM), is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. It’s a way for young adults in western society to abandon the traditional means of life in an attempt to have an experience of living outside of themselves. Through adventure, ministry, community and self-discovery, World Racers develop broken hearts that propel their hands to move for God’s Kingdom across the globe.

World Racers travel in small teams of 5-7 people, taking only what can be carried in a backpack. Though they are on a limited budget, World Racers bring a willingness to grow the Kingdom of God around them, and learn their identity and roles in the process.

What Does World Race Ministry Look Like?

World Racers focus on five different areas of ministry:

Compassion/Mercy Ministry

This is an outward expression of Christ’s love. Examples could be orphan care. hospital visits, prayer for those in need, etc.

Evangelical Outreach
This is the presentation of the Gospel and God’s word. Examples could be door-to-door evangelism, crusades, opportunities to preach, Vacation Bible Studies and more.

Service Ministry
This is about the church being the hands and feet of Christ Jesus. Examples could be construction projects, ground care, other physical labor, and more.

Church Plant Outreach
This ministry is about establishing church bodies in new locations. We seek to partner with local pastors and churches to develop church plants.

Other Ministry

Other ministries that develop as we mutually seek the will of the Lord in specific countries and areas.

What Do We Seek To Accomplish?

We desire for World Racers to:

1. Develop meaningful relationships with people around the world.

2. Learn what God is doing in different parts of the world.

3. Live in community while abandoning western expectations and entitlements.

4. Operate as a unified body to meet the needs of the lost, hurt, and hopeless.

5. Be led by the Holy Spirit in ministry and daily life on the Race.

6. Make disciples; not just converts.

7. Seek personal growth as they serve others.
